Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, started a chatbot in 2022 known as BlenderBot 3.
The AI gained attention when it was released for saying inappropriate comments, some about its CEO Mark Zuckerberg. And it didn’t have very nice things to say about Facebook either.
As Vice.com writes, “Ironically, the bot’s responses perfectly illustrate the problem with AI systems that rely on massive collections of web data: they will always be biased towards whatever results are more prominent in the datasets, which obviously is not always an accurate reflection of reality.”

Now, when you ask the bot about Zuckerberg it’s updated to say more positive comments like:

BlenderBot 3 is far from perfect. It likes to talk about its kids and dogs, for example. When I asked the capital of France it didn’t have an answer. But I guess we’ll see how advanced the bot becomes over time.
