HERE’S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:

I’m an expert at engaging with audiences and creating content that has reached millions and millions of people around the world.

I’m an Emmy Award-winning journalist, and the Co-Founder and CEO of Media Consulting Coaches, specializing in media training, public speaking, content creation and AI strategy.

When it comes to journalism, I became hooked at 15 when I started my career with a front-page exposé for my town newspaper about a rat problem at the local high school. I spent nearly a decade at Disney, working in inaugural digital positions for ABC News, Good Morning America and ABC7. I continue to work as a freelance journalist, and I’ve produced stories for several media organizations throughout my career, including CNN, CNN Business, 60 Minutes, Al Jazeera, NY1 News and the Columbia Journalism Review.

As an AI specialist, I created and host an AI podcast called Prompt Response. I’ve also worked on the GenAI Content Engineering team at Meta, guiding model training and optimizing machine learning processes. My expertise in AI overlaps with my love of storytelling. Recognizing the connections between content creation, research and verification, I merged these interests into a dynamic career. My goal is to empower creators to use technology ethically, maximizing their impact even with limited resources.

I have a number of passion projects outside of my day job, like running this blog! I’m also an Adjunct Professor at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. I have a Certified Nutrition credential through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well. I speak at events and on TV panels about my work, including appearing on CBS News Sunday Morning and C-SPAN. I am also a published poet and a children’s book author of a series I created with my father about detective dogs. I have a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.

After 20+ years of working for media organizations as a multi-skilled and multi-platform journalist, I realized I have a lot of knowledge I want to use to help others — from digital tools to lifestyle tips to career goals. That led me to start this blog and company!

I love to write! I also love photography and videography, and I like trying and sharing new things. I’m a media and lifestyle expert who has done it all in the journalism world, from print to broadcast to digital. I love to tell stories, and I shoot and edit video as well as pitch, write, host, report and produce. I spent years covering news before also turning to lifestyle content.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband, kids and dog. I have previously lived in Paris and New York City.
