Replace iPhone’s ‘shake to undo’ with 3-finger swipe

Replace iPhone's 'shake to undo' with 3-finger swipe

If you want to undo a mistake on the iPhone you have to give the phone a physical shake, literally like you’re shaking a martini. Shaken, not stirred. Shaking your phone is akin to the CTRL+Z command on the computer, which also undoes a mistake.

But there’s something else you can do instead. If you’re tired of shaking your phone, you can also undo something on your phone with a three-finger swipe.

It’s super simple and it works in both directions, to undo and redo something.

Here’s an example:

You can use the undo and redo three-finger swipe for a number of options, including accidentally erasing an email and wanting to get it back.

You can also turn off the “Shake to Undo” feature.

To make this happen, first, navigate to your phone’s settings and tap ‘Accessibility:’

Then select ‘Touch:’

Next, turn off ‘Shake to Undo:’
