Even if you don’t have a verified account or a large number of followers you can add a link to an Instagram Story! The company changed the rules in late 2021 to allow more users to share URLs (aka links to other websites) in their IG Stories.
Here’s how to add a link to your Instagram Story.

Start to create your Instagram Story and then tap this button top right:
It pulls up a screen where you can search for things, including the LINK feature:
Select LINK and then type in the URL. You’ll have a chance to click “See Preview” if you want to check the link before clicking “Done.”

The URL (aka your LINK) will then appear on your IG Story slate like this:
When you share it to your IG Stories users can click the link and visit the site you’re sharing.
This is a great way to share other websites and drive traffic elsewhere!
