DALL·E 2 AI system can make art from language

DALL·E 2 is an AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language. It’s pretty amazing what the site can create.

Check out the example below. It shows how the system made an image of an astronaut riding a horse in a photorealistic style.

Here’s an example of something I created with DALL·E 2. I asked the system to make an impressionist painting of a child enjoying dumplings in the city:

Pretty incredible, right?! I was amazed with the details and the options it spit out in a matter of seconds.

Here’s how to use DALL·E 2. Log into the site and you’ll see an option to make an image. It will say: ‘Start with a detailed description.’ Add one and click generate.

There’s also a ‘Surprise me’ button if you can’t think of anything and want to try it out. Or you can choose to upload an image to edit.

There’s a tab to create collections to organize your ideas and AI art.

In terms of who owns the art, well, as of 2022 Wired reported, “OpenAI [which owns DALL·E 2] has announced that it’s granting Dall-E users the right to commercialize their art. For now.”
