
I surprised my husband with a day at summer camp during the pandemic in order to have fun while staying safe. I planned a list of activities for us for the day, from making a volcano (yes, we really did the old science project!) to making s’mores. P.S. This post may contain affiliate links. Here’s how it worked. He awoke to some homemade CAMP MURR-YAY signs (our last name is Murray). He got the list above, but only numbers one and two were filled out. In order to find the rest of the activities, he had to do a scavenger hunt around the house. As he solved it he found clues and the rest of the numbers.

I am not a camp expert, so I used – yep, you guessed it – technology to help me put together the day.
First, I looked up camp activities. Then I searched how to do them. I found a guide on the volcano experiment and a recipe for the homemade silly putty. A friend had posted the Oregon Trail game on Facebook so I had that one saved.

I went online to order items we didn’t have (like s’mores and camp-style popcorn). We already had the microphone for karaoke!
