While I’m not a professional artist, I know many who use the iPad to create their artwork and designs. I use it to create content for my brand and blog, but I also use it for fun while relaxing on my couch.
I prefer the iPad Pro 12.9″ with the Apple Pencil, but spend some time researching to figure out what works best for you.

You can use the Apple Pencil in apps like Notes, but the best app to create artwork in is Procreate. This gives you a much wider range of settings and options for creating artwork. And definitely check out some tutorials, which can tell you tricks like using two fingers to tap on the screen to undo an action and three fingers to tap to redo an action.
Investing in more brushes and other tools could be a good idea too, including iPad gloves so your hand doesn’t wipe over the designs.
