16 places from 'Emily in Paris' you can visit in real life

“Emily in Paris” is a show on Netflix about a young American marketing executive from Chicago being sent to work for a firm in Paris with no prior knowledge of neither French nor culture.

It’s totally binge-worthy if you like “Sex and the City” (same creator). I asked (made) my husband watch it with me. And because he’s French he was able to make this “Emily in Paris” list which I am sharing with you here!

My husband, Michael, had his first two jobs at advertising and public relations firms in Paris. Although the show is not something he would watch without me, he said that overall it is a fairly accurate depiction of working in Paris (but he doesn’t think Emily would have lasted longer than a week – his words, not mine).

The show appears to mostly take place near the river and the center of the city. Right now we’re living through hard times (this post is being written during the pandemic), but I’m sharing this list for when we can travel again – so bookmark it for your future selves!
