Don't make this rookie mistake with headphones

Wearing headphones while in public. It seems simple. But it’s not always the case. We’re all guilty of listening to audio out loud from time to time. But listening to music, watching a video or talking to a friend (on speaker) while in public can be disturbing to other people. Even if you’re at home, you can disturb your roommate or family by listening to audio out loud while they’re trying to work. So don’t make this rookie mistake with headphones. P.S. Here is some advice to be sure you have what you need when it comes to sound and (public) spaces:

  • Try to keep a pair of headphones with you. I keep a pair in my purse when I go out and a pair on my desk when I’m working.
  • If you have multiple sets of headphones try putting them in places you know will be useful in advance. Leave a pair by the couch, at your desk or by your sneakers on the way out the door.
  • Invest in a nice pair, whether it be noise-canceling headphones or AirPods, depending on your lifestyle.
  • Have a cheap pair (or pairs) on hand so you can either leave in multiple places for yourself or in case you lose a pair in the future.

Here’s what I’ve learned in the first month of parenting:

Breastfeeding while trying to eat with one hand should be an Olympic sport. 😂

I’ve been coming to the realization I may never sleep a full night again or ever stop worrying. 😅

Baby coos, smiles, laughs, cuddles and snuggles are better than anything in the world. 🫶

Other parents are essential to learn from and lean on for support and staying in touch with loved ones, family and friends, is vital for your mood and sanity. Even if you feel like you have no time in the world or feel overwhelmed by visitors, you can try to socialize virtually. 🤗

Having a supportive, loving and adoring partner like @mpjym is everything. ❤️
