
These days you can create quality content with your smartphone. It’s amazing how advanced smaller cameras have become, which is why I’ve created a guide on the best mobile filmmaking kit. If you want to shoot content but can’t afford a heavy-duty camera that’s OK.

That said, phones (especially ones with good cameras) aren’t cheap. They’re still an investment. So do some research before you purchase one. I outline a great media start kit here.

The phone alone, especially the latest iPhones, can do a lot. These are just some extra items to spruce up your kit when it comes to stability, lighting and microphones.

If you’re more of an advanced user, then I’d recommended all of these times. If you’re more of a beginner with iPhone shooting, then I’d start slow – perhaps investing in the Beastgrip Pro and a mic at first.
