I’ve blogged before about my love for staying organized. I like a neat desk and having my things in order. But there’s one thing I have to do to remain on top of it all. It’s the only way I can be focused and not forget things.
When it comes to work, staying organized is one of the most important things to do. This one tip will help you stay on top of everything, from your to-do list in life to your to-do list at work. It will ensure you don’t miss meetings or deadlines too. And it’s pretty simple!
Write it down. That’s it. That’s the key to staying organized. I write everything down, whether it’s on my phone or on a piece of paper during a meeting. I take notes during calls or when I’m talking to my colleagues.
If you’re in a rush, the best thing to do is jot down the idea or task somewhere. Then when you have time later you can add a note to your calendar or your to-do list.
Personally, I prefer to take notes on something electronic like my phone or computer. But go with what works best for you.
And remember, even if in the moment you think, “I don’t need to write this down. I’ll remember.” Why take the chance? Why not just write it down to be safe and to also allow your brain to focus on other things in the meantime.
So, write it down. That’s the key to staying organized!
