BLOGGING

Why you should be sending newsletters

Writing a newsletter is key to growing your business as a blogger. Some say your most dedicated followers are those who subscribe to your newsletter. This is why you should be sending newsletters to promote and grow your blog. P.S. This page may contain affiliate links. Please see my disclosure for more information.

Creating connections

An email newsletter is something you write for your audience that is then delivered to them through email. It allows you to make more intimate connections with your followers. You’re giving your audience the inside scoop and have another way of reaching out on a more personal level. If there was a blog post you wrote recently that you felt strongly about and want to share more intimate details, this is the place to do it.

Promotions & Marketing

They are also a great way to promote and market your material. You can highlight giveaways or offer special deals. Or you can market your content and the items you’re selling. Again, people following your newsletter are often those who care about your business the most.

Call to action

If you’re supporting a special cause or trying to raise awareness about an issue then this is a good platform for that too. While not everyone will see your blog posts all the time, a newsletter is a chance to more directly engage with others and share what you care about.

Newsletter services

Now, when it comes to what platform to use to create your newsletters, there are many. Constant Contact, Mailchimp, Smore and ConvertKit are some examples.

And don’t forget to be creative. You can design logos and images using sites like Canva!
