There’s a way you can rearrange your phone to see your favorite apps and widgets much larger on the home screen. Here’s how to go about doing it!
First, what’s an app and what’s a widget? Widgets come with your phone. Apps are applications you need to download yourself.
These are two examples of customizing your phone’s background:

You’ll see in the first image above I chose to fill the screen with large icons, from weather to notes to my calendar and the news.
The second image is another example. It combines a larger icon (my calendar) with the usual smaller app icons.

Rearranging your screen is simple. First, click and hold on any app until a menu appears and select “Edit Home Screen.”
Next, click the plus icon that appears in the top left corner of the screen. That’s where you can search for whatever widget or app you want to add to your home screen.

As you browse which ones to choose, you’ll also notice they come in different sizes.
Here’s how the Apple site describes the experience: “Customize your Home Screen layout with your favorite apps and widgets. Or, design a few pages—like a page with the News and Weather apps to browse in the morning, or another with all your work apps … You can also drag widgets on top of each other to create a stack you can scroll through.”
