
Zoom became a big thing during the pandemic. I remember when I was first going over the video conferencing app’s settings ahead of a Zoom call and I noticed something. A little button that said ‘Touch up my appearance.’ I liked the sound of that. Here’s what Zoom’s ‘Touch up’ feature is and how to use it.
First, what is the ‘Touch up my appearance’ button? It’s a button that appears to add a filter to change how you look on Zoom. One’s features appear softer, less grainy and overall smoother.

Aside from using this feature, you should also read this post on tips for looking better on video calls. The most basic tips are to pay attention to how you set up your lighting, to bring the camera to your eye level and to look right into the camera (not at yourself or others on screen) when you’re speaking.

how to use Zoom’s ‘Touch up’ feature:
First, go to your video settings. This may differ depending on if you’re using Zoom on your phone or computer.

Next, click video.

That’s where you’ll see the option to select ‘Touch up my appearance.’
