If you’re in the media world then you’ve probably started hearing about the exclusive app Clubhouse, or you may have known about it for a while already. If you want to learn more about the audio-chat app and what it does, keep reading.
What’s the app about?
The point of Clubhouse is to have conversations with other people. You can be a conversation starter or you can look for conversations you want to join.

As of early 2021, the app was still invite-only, meaning you need to get an invite from an existing user to join.
You’ll get invites to send to other people to join too once you’re on the app.

USING THE APP
A user can create conversation ‘rooms’ and invite others to join. You can set a topic for your room and allow anyone to participate or only selected people. When you open the app you’ll also see rooms you can join based on your interests (which you give to the app) or based on what’s trending. And you can search for more rooms by topic.
You have a profile page as well which shows your bio, followers and what groups you have joined.

privacy considerations & concerns
“My biggest privacy concern with Clubhouse is the fact that you have to give them your contact list on your phone in order to use the app,” tech expert Stephanie Humphrey told ABC News. “And Clubhouse still does have some real content moderation issues around the types of things that get said in clubs.”
So make sure you’re comfortable with that before joining.
