New fonts on Instagram arrived in August 2020, the same month the app launched IG Reels! There are a number of new designs and layouts you can now use. Get creative and add pretty fonts to your posts.
In order to find the fonts, go to create a story and once you get to the option to type in text you will see the fonts.

You can select which font you want to use, and then you can add colors to it or change alignment. Some are pictured above.
Fonts are a great way to spruce up a post. I like to pick a style I feel fits the mood of the photo or video. The same goes with what colors I choose to use. Try them out and play around with them. It’s a good way to showcase your style and taste! You can even mix and match fonts per post.
